Finnish telecomms solutions provider Nokia introduced on Wednesday (28 April) two new mobile phones based on CDMA2000 1X technology for the Asia Pacific market.

The competitively priced Nokia 3125 featured a high resolution colour display and supported multimedia messaging service (MMS), video messaging, video download and playback.

Nokia 3125 also included integrated hands-free speaker, polyphonic ring tones, animated screensavers, games, video clips and support for downloadable Java applications.

The other new phone, the Nokia 2112, was equipped with an integrated hands-free speaker, MIDI polyphonic ring tones and picture messaging.

The phones were expected to be commercially available in Asia Pacific markets during the third quarter of 2004.
