Computer chip manufacturer Intel Corp has announced that communications technology companies Huawei Technologies and Korea Telecom are using Intel technology to develop wireline and wireless network infrastructure solutions.

Intel claims that many communications providers are turning to Intel-based platforms as a start point for their network infrastructure in order to deliver new services at lower costs and with faster time-to-revenue.

Huawei is using Intel technology to develop its next-generation infrastructure platforms for release later this year. Korea Telecom is using Intel's AdvancedTCA platform to trial new services for its high-speed Internet business.
