Forth Ports opts for Tata's customer service and management information system

IT consulting and services company Tata Consultancy Services has been chosen by Forth Ports PLC to install a port system for its UK ports.

Tata will now deploy a system that will provide improved customer service, management information systems and operational efficiencies. This will be achieved through automated invoicing which will reduce processing time and enable cargo tracking. Forth Ports will also receive new reporting tools so that management can analyse and monitor business activities and make better informed strategic decisions.

The cost of the implementation was not disclosed.
