Automobile manufacturer Toyota Motor Europe has chosen communications services supplier Infonet Services Corp (NYSE: IN) and Japanese telecomms carrier KDDI (TSE: 9433) to provide managed IP networking services.
Under the terms of the agreement Toyota will be supplied with an Infonet MPLS IP network which will connect approximately 100 European sites including its production, sales, logistics, financial services and assembly sites as well as its regional headquarters. The network will provide MPLS and Class of Service in order to provide a secure and prioritised environment in which a number of applications can be run.
