Networking companies Lucent Technologies (NYSE:LU) and Riverstone Networks (RSTN.PK) have announced that Telefonica de Espana S.A.U (Telefonica) of Spain, a Spanish service provider, has selected their combined Ethernet solution for the next phase of Telefonica's multimedia broadband service deployment.

According to the company, the Lucent solution for Telefonica includes integration, engineering, installation and technical support for the next-generation Stinger FS Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) Access Concentrators and Riverstone Networks RS 8000 and RS 38000 carrier Ethernet routers.
