SealedMedia has announced its Sealed Email for BlackBerry solution that enables sealed files to be accessed securely on an authorised user's BlackBerry.

The software integrates with the BlackBerry Enterprise Server and intercepts requests for sealed e-mails and attachments. The Sealed Email Connector checks that the user is authorised to access information sealed to a relevant classification. The information is then converted to BlackBerry's proprietary format, Universal Content Stream, and forwarded over a secure connection to the user's device.

The user can reply or forward the email received by the Blackberry in the normal way. However, the attachments on the mail server are still sealed so their content is protected and can only be accessed by users with appropriate rights.

Sealed Email for BlackBerry will be available in Q3 2005 starting at USD20,000.
