TELECOMWORLDWIRE-17 August 2005-Telefonica Mexico orders rating system(C)1994-2005 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com

A rating system for GSM-CDMA based roaming services has been ordered from Portal Software by mobile operator Telefonica Moviles Mexico.

Portal's Revenue Management solution was reportedly chosen in December last year by Telefonica Moviles for its GSM network offering value-added services for content, GPRS, MMS, SMS and WAP. The solution is said to have been selected for its branding, multi-currency and roaming capabilities. Around one million roaming events are currently supported by Telefonica Moviles every month and it also works with various roaming partners in Latin America.

The system ordered is intended to support incollect and outcollect roaming for CDMA850, CDMA1900 and GSM networks and CIBER 2.5 and TAP 3.10 formats. It is to interface to the legacy system of Telefonica Moviles and also provide statistical analysis.
