Stratex Networks receives expansion order of USD5m from MTN Nigeria

Stratex Networks Inc (Nasdaq:STXN), a provider of wireless transmission solutions, announced on Monday (19 December) that it has received an expansion order for its Eclipse Nodal Wireless Transmission system from MTN Nigeria, aprovider of cellular and communications services in Africa.

The order is valued at USD5.0m and has a term of five years.

Earlier this year the company concluded a preferred supplier agreement with the MTN Group. The agreement recognises Stratex Networks as a preferred supplier to MTN Group for microwave transmission equipment.

According to the company, the agreement allows the MTN Group operations to rapidly deploy network expansions and increase rollout schedules by taking advantage of already approved technology, and commercial terms and conditions.
