The Sweden-based pan-European telecommunications company Tele2 AB said on Tuesday (1 February) that it had acquired the Italian telecomms operator Tiscali's Danish subsidiary Tiscali Denmark A/S.

The acquisition was valued at EUR20.7m on debt-free basis.

Tiscali Denmark A/S has some 26,000 ADSL customers and more than 50,000 dial-up Internet customers. The acquisition also includes an extensive ADSL network, reaching over 65% of Danish households.
