Swedish telecomms solutions provider Ericsson said on Wednesday (16 February) that it had launched an expansion of its hosting offering with content packages for mobile portals.

The content packages would include music, multiplayer gaming, video, multimedia subscriptions and downloads, according to the company.

Operators could offer consumers a series of portals pre-packaged with content from Ericsson partners including SonyBMG, Warner Music International, Bloomberg, Kamera, FashionTv, Mixipix and others.

By partnering with Ericsson, operators could focus on their core businesses and launch innovative consumer services within six weeks of contract signing, the company claimed.
