UK 3G mobile phone operator, 3, has announced that 10m music videos have been downloaded by 3 subscribers since it launched its video jukebox service in September 2004.

The company also announced that it has signed a new agreement with Sony BMG Music Entertainment for its artists, after BMG - one of the first record companies to sign its artists up with 3 - was taken over by Sony Music. The new deal will see the number of artists whose videos are now available double.

A spokesperson for 3 said that thanks to its innovative jukebox service it has created a significant mobile audience for music videos in just six months, and its customers have responded very positively.
