O2 UK selects Intervoice missed call notification service

Converged voice and data solutions company Intervoice has been chosen by mobile operator O2 UK to provide a missed call notification service to help O2 increase voice average revenue per customer.

Intervoice will supply the Call Notify service - which will be marketed to customers as O2 Call Alert - as part of its Omvia Voice Framework. The company claims that the new service will provide an increased number of terminated and returned calls for mobile operators.

A spokesperson for O2 said that Intervoice had always provided it with an excellent combination of value for money and leading edge technology which is will no give its customers a complementary alternative to voicemail.
