TELECOMWORLDWIRE-23 November 2005-Dubai Government selects Tecnomen PMR system(C)1994-2005 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com

A Professional Mobile Radio (PMR) Messaging System is to be delivered to the Dubai Government in the United Arab Emirates during the fourth quarter this year.

The PMR from Tecnomen, a company supplying messaging services to public authority networks, contains the Short Data Service Centre (SDSC) and Voice and Unified Messaging System. It will provide a range of short messaging, voice and unified services for TETRA networks, one of which is operated in Dubai and Northern Emirates by the Dubai Government and used for public authorities.

The PMR system incorporates Tecnomen's flexible system architecture and modular messaging service concept, enabling features and services to be selected by operators to meet the requirements of TETRA subscribers. The Dubai Government said that PMR will ensure it makes full use of its network and that messaging services such as SDS, UMS and Voice Mail will meet demand from users.

Tecnomen is customising its Messaging Solutions to the public authority sector following a recent increase in demand from the market for voice and short messaging services.
