TELECOMWORLDWIRE-24 November 2005-Bureau Veritas Laboratories implements Fleetstar-Online(C)1994-2005 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com
The Fleetstar-Online Internet-based fleet and asset management solution from Cybit, an online telematics service provider in the UK, has been implemented by Bureau Veritas Laboratories, a construction materials testing and compliance consultancy.
The solution has been deployed for Bureau's fleet of 20 vans at its London office and will allow the company to gain real-time visibility into the work of its construction inspectors, enabling it to improve its service to customers. The solution offers real-time vehicle tracking, reply mode, customised reports and exception reporting, SMS messaging, live traffic and mileage information.

Using the GPRS-enabled solution, Bureau will be able to use a standard web browser to pinpoint the location of its inspectors, providing more accurate estimated times of arrival to customers. The solution also offers a detailed reporting function which will help the company demonstrate that it is maintaining its Duty of Care responsibilities and ensure Working Time Directive compliance.
Bureau said one of the most significant benefits of the Fleetstar-Online solution is the ability to access telematics data easily through any Internet browser, helping the company to serve customers and meet its ethical obligations.
