TELECOMWORLDWIRE-8 November 2005-Alfred McAlpine selects StoreAge technology for disaster recovery(C)1994-2005 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com

StoreAge Networking Technologies, a provider of split-path SAN storage management and data protection solutions, announced on Monday (7 November) that UK support services organisation Alfred McAlpine has completed its initial disaster recovery architecture by deploying StoreAge SVM technology into its SAN environment.

According to the company, StoreAge SVM was selected because it proved to be the most functional SAN management and disaster recovery solution. The multi Mirror product was used for mirroring data between multiple sites from high-end EMC arrays at the source site, to mid-range Dot Hill arrays at the destination site.

The SAN implementation was designed and installed by Alfred McAlpine's IT Services business together with Zycko, a networking, storage and server accessories distributor. No financial details of the deployment were disclosed.
