TELECOMWORLDWIRE-15 September 2005-TeleWare completes migration of over 60 customers to TAS(C)1994-2005 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com

The migration of more than 60 corporate and public sector customers has been successfully completed by TeleWare, an intelligent business communications solutions provider, to its TeleWare Application Services (TAS).

The migration to TAS, an Application Service Provider (ASP) set up in January 2004, included two of the main UK banks and more than 21,000 users. TAS was established in order to act as the preferred Messaging and Mobility platform for BT and O2 customers and to host TeleWare applications for delivery through BT's Featurenet VPN. TeleWare said that it set up the ASP to support customers who would have been disadvantaged by O2's decision to close its corporate messaging service.

Following the scheduled closing of O2's corporate messaging service at the end of last year, TeleWare worked to move the customers requiring ongoing services over to its TAS data centre. It now has over 21,000 users for auto attendant, IVR, personal numbering and unified messaging services hosted on TAS platforms, and supports Featurenet and independent corporate and public service customers.
