Beceem Communication attains Microsoft's WHQL certification

Beceem Communications Inc, a wireless communications solutions provider, has revealed that it is the first vendor to attain certification by software company Microsoft's Windows Hardware Quality Lab (WHQL) for its Mobile WiMAX chipset and driver products.

According to the company, the certification ensures Mobile WiMAX devices using the Beceem Communications chipset and driver, are fully compliant with Microsoft's Windows operating system's modem interface requirements.

Beceem Communications said the WHQL certification makes it easier for its chipset solutions to be integrated by customers. It confirmed that the certification ensures the Mobile WiMAX products of service providers, application developers, equipment manufacturers and end-users will be able to use the Windows system fully.
