Instant Messaging (IM) based on the Mobile IM solution from Comverse, a software and systems supplier and subsidiary of Comverse Technology Inc (Nasdaq:CMVT), has been launched on the network of Rogers Wireless, a voice and data communications services provider in Canada.
According to Rogers Wireless, a subsidiary of Rogers Communications (NYSE:RG), the new mobile messaging options enable users to remain in contact with friends and family through instant messaging. It said the IM solution is expected to help increase subscriber loyalty and satisfaction and provide the company with a new revenue stream.
