Pilkington, a manufacturer of glass and glazing products, has awarded SkillSoft (Nasdaq:SKIL), an online learning provider, a contract to supply management, business, health & safety, IT and desktop-skills training to its 24,000-strong workforce.
According to the company, Pilkington has purchased SkillSoft's entire management, business and IT curricula together with selected health & safety courses. The content will be available in Spanish, Castilian, Polish, Russian, French, German, Italian and Mandarin, and the e-learning will be deployed via SkillSoft's learning management system, SkillPort, and will be accessible to employees through the Internet, the company claims.
