The GlobeTrotter FUSION 'HSDPA Ready' all-in-one wireless PC data card from wireless technology company Option, has been selected by Bouygues Telecom, a French operator and part of Bouygues.
Bouygues Telecom will offer the data card, which provides WLAN and EDGE/UMTS/GPRS connectivity, branded as 'Carte Internet Haut Debit Mobile' to its customers in France. A web-based firmware upgrade will allow the operator's customers to connect at speeds of up to 1.8Mb/s when it introduces an HSDPA network.

The GlobeTrotter FUSION 'HSDPA Ready' data card provides speeds of up to 85.6kb/s on GPRS, up to 247kb/s on EDGE networks, up to 384kb/s for UMTS and up to 54Mb/s when used on a public WiFi hotspot or corporate WLAN network.
Option's GlobeTrotter Mobility Manager is offered with the GlobeTrotter FUSION 'HSDPA Ready' data card, providing users with fast wireless data access without the need to worry about complex wireless technologies. Users can roam between 3G, 2G and WLAN access technologies when the card is used in conjunction with the 'Unlimited Connection' mobile IP solution from Option, using the data card's inbuilt automatic authentication support.
