AudioCodes (Nasdaq: AUDC), a provider of Voice over Packet (VoP) technologies and Voice Network products, and telecomms operator Telefonica Spain announced on Tuesday (17 April) that Telefonica has selected AudioCodes media gateways for broadband connectivity for business customers and services for the Spanish market.

Ericsson Spain SA, the main project contractor, has reportedly integrated AudioCodes' best of breed gateways into its solution enabling Telefonica Spain to provide advanced hosted services to the Spanish enterprise market.

This solution offers a gradual migration to IP while keeping the customer's existing PSTN telephone number along with receiving innovative IP Centrex services, the company said.
