The VoIPerfect solution for WiMAX CPE applications has been introduced by AudioCodes (Nasdaq:AUDC), a provider of Voice over Packet (VoIP) technologies and Voice Network products, adapted for the Intel WiMAX Connection 2250 chipset.
The company offers a toolkit which incorporates a hardware reference design for a VoIP Analog Telephone Adapter (ATA) and Linux-based SIP VoIP application, integrated and tested with the Intel WiMAX Connection 2250.

AudioCodes said the VoIP solution combined with the WiMAX Connection 2250 system-on-chip provides a market-ready WiMAX CPE solution for customers, enabling them to shorten time-to-market. It confirmed that the solution incorporates provisioning for Real Time Polling Service (RTPS), which enables dynamic bandwidth allocation, ensuring VoIP calls Quality of Service while optimising bandwidth use.
According to AudioCodes, VoIPerfect includes a DSP firmware, SIP stack, media processing VoicePacketizer stack and call control layer for a complete SIP VoIP application. It also provides infrastructure to enable configuration and management of the SIP VoIP application from the user's main application.
