The company confirmed this provides a higher capacity for sending data upstream from the customer, increasing the speed from 156kb/s to 1.8Mb/s; with the downloading of data enabled at speeds of up to 3.1Mb/s. The new version of the CDMA will have covered 30% of the country's population by the end of 2007, upgrading over 30% of the current CDMA network, according to Unstrung.
