TELECOMWORLDWIRE-5 November 2007-Plusmo launches free NFL and NCAA football widgets for iPhone users(C)1994-2007 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com

Free NFL and NCAA football widgets have been launched for the iPhone device from computer company Apple by Plusmo, a provider of mobile widgets.

Plusmo said the new widgets enable iPhone users to access up to date action for all the teams, leagues and players, with users gaining live, play-by-play updates, breaking news, game schedules and game photos. It confirmed a custom interface enables users to personalise the widgets and follow their favourite football teams, while a search driven portal personalises the widgets and reduces repetitive typing.

The widgets reportedly offer iPhone-specific features, refresh automatically with in-game progress updates and use large icons to make them easy to use on the iPhone's interface.

The NFL and NCAA service is supported on almost all web-enabled phones, including feature phones and smartphones such as RIM BlackBerry devices, Symbian devices, Windows Mobile smartphones, Pocket PC-enabled PDAs and Palm Treos.

The service is live at http://nfl.plusmo.com and http://cfb.plusmo.com.
