TELECOMWORLDWIRE-19 October 2007-PSCU Financial Services awards communications equipment and services contract to AT&T(C)1994-2007 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com

A contract to provide communications equipment and services has been awarded to US communications holding company AT&T Inc (NYSE:T) by PSCU Financial Services (PSCU), a credit union service organisation (CUSO) based in St. Petersburg, Florida, to improve the reach and reliability of the company's network services.

AT&T said the new contract establishes an Ethernet private line between PSCU's headquarters in St. Petersburg and the company's data centre in the Phoenix area.

The company confirmed that the communications link enables data replication for business-critical information between the two locations. It claimed the instant mirroring of data across the network establishing redundancy in order to maintain active communication lines and secure company information.

PSCU already used AT&T for dedicated voice and high-speed networking services and Managed Internet Services (MIS). The company required seamless connectivity between its headquarters and data centre in order to expand and improve call centre operations and secure its communications capabilities.
