Virgin Mobile USA Inc (NYSE:VM) (Virgin Mobile), a US wireless services, data content and products provider, has revealed it is introducing the new Wild Card handset from Kyocera Wireless Corp, a supplier of CDMA wireless devices and accessories and wholly owned subsidiary of Kyocera International Inc, for USD99.99.

Virgin Mobile said the handset is its first with streaming music capability, with the company's Headliner application upgraded for the Wild Card to include a streaming music function which enables users to listen to individual tracks for USD0.25 each. The personalised mobile music magazine Headliner costs USD2.49 per month and includes concert tour updates, artist information, music charts and news and other music-related points of interest.

The Wild Card also includes a 1.3 megapixel camera with 3x digital zoom and image effects, hidden QWERTY keypad, dual colour display screens, WAP 2.0 web browser and Bluetooth wireless technology. It features the Contact Vault, allowing users with the Wild Card, Cyclops and Switch_Back handsets to store, retrieve, delete and transfer their personal contacts list, should the phone be lost, stolen, damaged or upgraded, for USD1.99 per month or USD9.99 for six months.

The unit is available with Virgin Mobile's unlimited domestic messaging for USD19.99 per month, including text and picture messaging, IM and e-mail, with users receiving their second month free when activating their Wild Card.

The Wild Card, which includes pre-loaded demo games such as PAC-MAN and Block Breaker Deluxe, is available at stores such as Radio Shack, Best Buy, Target and Wal-Mart and will be introduced online by Virgin Mobile USA on 24 October.
