The Comverse Converged Billing Suite and various value-added services from Comverse, a subsidiary of Comverse Technology Inc and a supplier of software and systems for network-based multimedia enhanced communication and billing services, has been deployed by MTEL, a mobile operator in Montenegro.

MTEL deployed the suite and services to compliment its offering, which includes Voicemail, SMS, MMS and Call Completion solutions, powered by the InSight Open Services Environment, in order to serve its growing subscriber base. Comverse said its Converged Billing Suite provides the ability to handle any service, network and payment type and enables businesses to build loyalty and increase revenues by providing choice, control and convenience for customers. It claimed the suite offers new capabilities and enables service providers and e-businesses to improve operational efficiency and increase market agility by enabling real-time customer management.
According to MTEL, the deployment was completed within a short timeframe in order to ensure it is up and running in time for the current tourist season. Comverse said the suite, along with value-added service platforms such as SMS, MMS, Call Completion and Voicemail, will enable MTEL to maintain pace in establishing its presence as a total communication provider in the country.
