Digimarc Corporation (Nasdaq:DMRC), a supplier of secure identity and media management solutions, announced on Friday (25 April) that the company has provided a new secure systems to Motor Vehicle Division (MVD)of the state of New Mexico, USA to issue licenses.

Digimarc's system replaces the state's existing self issuing system with a secure driver license issuance system, which is designed to ensure that only one valid license is issued to one legitimate applicant. This helps to fight driver license fraud and identity theft, the company said.

The Digimarc solution includes centralised driver license production from a secure facility and multiple applicant screening steps to confirm identity.
