QuickLogic offers samples of new customer specific standard product platform

Telecomworldwire,  April 29, 2008

TELECOMWORLDWIRE-29 April 2008-QuickLogic offers samples of new customer specific standard product platform(C)1994-2008 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com

Engineering samples of the latest customer specific standard product (CSSP) platform from QuickLogic Corp (NASDAQ: QUIK), a provider of low power programmable solutions, are now available.

According to QuickLogic, PolarPro II is based on its ViaLink technology and offers ultra low power consumption combined with small-footprint packages. The core voltage can scale down to 1.5V to reduce dynamic power consumption. In addition, the platform offers a very low power (VLP) mode that freezes device operation, during which the static current drops to less than 5 microamps. Entry and exit from the VLP mode take 10 microseconds, enabling system developers to conserve energy by shutting the device down between bursts of activity.

The solution is particularly suitable for delivering customer- or market-specific combinations of QuickLogic's system blocks for storage, wired/wireless communication, video/imaging, security and other custom functions, the company claims.

No pricing details were disclosed.
