Telecomworldwire, April 3, 2008

TELECOMWORLDWIRE-3 April 2008-Nokia opens digital music store in Ireland(C)1994-2008 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com

Nokia Ireland announced on Wednesday (2 April) that the company has opened a new digital music store in Ireland.

Nokia said that the new store will offer over 2.5 million tracks from major artists, independent labels and Irish musicians that can be purchased via either a PC or a mobile device. The music collection can then be synchronised between the PC and mobile using Windows Media Player.

The new Nokia Music Store is expected to expand the catalogue adding new content with a particular emphasis on Irish artists. The company said that it plans to include more Irish content from up-and-coming and established Irish artists than any other digital music store available in Ireland. Consumers can purchase tracks individually via a Nokia device, such as the Nokia N95 or a desktop computer. Consumers can also stream an unlimited number of full length tracks to a PC. The charges for individual tracks are EUR1 and EUR10 for albums while a monthly subscription for PC streaming is EUR10.
