SwissQual, a Swiss network quality measurement company, has announced that its Diversity Network Optimisation and Benchmarking system now supports WiMAX technology.
According to the company, the Diversity platform has been designed to help service providers identify interference issues and cell site configuration problems, enabling fast deployment and easy maintenance of the network. In addition, it can show a direct comparison of the quality delivered by a new WiMAX network as compared to that available from existing networks running other technologies.

The platform reportedly provides simultaneous, end-to-end testing for voice, data and video, and offers network benchmarking, optimisation and service monitoring. It includes the ability to test WiMAX data cards, network elements and services from the early stages of development through final operation. The test types supported include FTP, UDP, HTTP, Video streaming, e-mail and VoIP call.
The company also said it will be making further new product announcements throughout 2008.
No financial details were disclosed.
