Qiao Xing Universal Telephone Inc (Nasdaq: XING), a manufacturer and distributor of telecomms products in China, announced on Friday (15 August) the resignation of Albert Leung as the CFO of the company, effective 15 August, 2008, and the appointment of Jiang Aijun as the new CFO, effective 15 August, 2008 to replace Leung.

According to the company, Aijun has been the head of finance for Tiens Biotech Group, Inc from September 2005 until July 2008. From July 2003 to August 2005, he served as a consultant in the Economic and Commercial Representation of China in Tanzania, the Economic Section of the Chinese Embassy in Tanzania, where he was responsible for providing commercial and financial consultation to Chinese companies conducting business in the country.
Leung has reportedly confirmed that he has no disagreement with the company and there are no matters in relation to his resignation as the CFO of the company that need to be brought to the attention of the Board of Directors or the shareholders of Qiao Xing Universal Telephone.
No financial details were disclosed.
