The company said that the added capabilities, together with the recent acquisition of Getronics North American Operations will allow it to offer its services to a more diverse range of companies and that those clients will gain 'greater manageability, visibility and enhanced productivity'.
Intel vPro technology allows enterprises to remotely access systems even when the power is off, the operating system is corrupt or management agents are non-functional. This capability aids in the maintenance, updating and securing of those systems and with asset tracking. According to the company, Intel has recently added the technology to its Centrino notebook range.
