Tele Atlas, a provider of digital maps and dynamic content for navigation and location based solution, has announced in conjunction with MiTAC International Corp (TSE:2315) that the MiTAC navigation solution subsidiaries Mio and Navman have extended their agreements with Tele Atlas.
Mio and Navman with be using Tele Atlas digital maps and content for their complete ranges of personal navigation devices for three years. This is an extension of agreements between the companies which started in 2005.

Under the agreements, Mio and Navman products will be using the full line of Tele Atlas digital map content and products, which includes navigable map data for 74 countries, Tele Atlas 3D Landmarks, Tele Atlas Digital Elevation Model, Tele Atlas Safety Cameras, content for almost 30m points of interest (POIs) and additional map content products until 2011.
Financial details of the agreements have not be announced.
