Kyocera Corporation (NYSE:KYO) (TOKYO:6971) has announce the release of 28 newly standardised thermal printhead models for barcode printer applications.
All of the models were previously only offered on a custom, made to order basis.
The standardised models include the option for EcoGeneration, an eco-friendly technology based on Kyocera's unique technology for enhanced thermal efficiency designed to reduce power consumption and noise levels.

Each of the models can support four different present printing speeds ranging from 150 to 350 mm/second, three preset resolutions between 203 and 600 dpi and five present printing widths from 54 to 219mm.
Pricing details for the standardised thermal printhead models were not reported.
