TELECOMWORLDWIRE-4 August 2008-Trimax introduces new wireless broadband router(C)1994-2008 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com

Trimax Wireless has introduced a new core wireless broadband router, the TMAX 3000 Series.

The TMAX 3000 has a total of three radios, each of which can be configured separately and a variety of antenna options. The router combines three different technologies (Wi-Fi, WiMAX and DECT) operating at different frequencies, into the same system.

Designed to be utilised in urban wireless environments while mounted on light poles, the unit is housed in a compact lightweight rugged outdoor enclosure with an integrated patch antenna. The patch antenna can be used with 4.9 GHz or 5 GHz radio modules. The remaining two radio modules can be any combination of Trimax's high-powered radios supporting frequencies from 900 MHz to 6 GHz.

The modular design lends itself to a wide range of homeland security, public safety, municipal operations, and intelligent traffic systems applications. There are two powered Ethernet ports on the TMAX 3000. An Ethernet video camera can be directly attached and powered by the TMAX 3000, enabling cost effective wireless video surveillance on a city-wide scale.
