Finnish technology group Teleste Corporation (OMX Helsinki: TLT1V) said on Wednesday (6 August) that it as been selected by the Dutch cable operator Ziggo to deliver their new compact node platform for upgrading their cable networks to anticipate future capacity needs.

The value of the initial order is approximately EUR1.0m.

This is Teleste's first major order for Ziggo, arising from the recent merger of @ Home (the former Essent Kabelcom), Casema and Multikabel, Teleste said.

Teleste's solution is based on the successful AC800 platform. It combines a perfect price performance with sophisticated management facilities, the company said.

Teleste, headquartered in Turku, Finland, is an international technology group specialising in broadband access and video surveillance.
