TELECOMWORLDWIRE-12 December 2008-Pitney Bowes Group 1 Software introduces Customer Data Quality Platform v5.6(C)1994-2008 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com

Software solutions provider Pitney Bowes Group 1 Software, part of Pitney Bowes Software Inc, a subsidiary of Pitney Bowes Inc (NYSE:PBI), announced on Thursday (11 December) the newest version of its Customer Data Quality (CDQ) Platform, version 5.6.

According to the company, the CDQ Platform enables organisations to ensure the quality of enterprise data, reducing data management costs and providing customer insight, which results in more intelligent business decisions and profitable growth. It provides support for data governance through profiling and monitoring, access to enterprise data in a federated approach, cleansing, validation, deterministic and probabilistic matching, consolidation and geospatial enrichment.

The integrated platform is delivered via a service-oriented architecture (SOA) in real-time, batch or Software-as-a-Service (SaaS). The technology enables organisations to unify enterprise data, eliminate redundancies and expand overall customer knowledge.

The new release features: multi-domain, culture and language specific or agnostic grammar, which gives users control, visibility and insight into modifying and defining patterns to enhance and automate data cleansing; a data governance suite that includes profiling, alerts and rules management; as well as enhanced platform support, which enables access to remote or hosted services as part of locally designed and deployed composite data flows. In addition, the release offers data quality connectors for mySAP CRM 2007 and Siebel Business and Industry 8.0, which enhance value of data inside existing investments, the company said.

No pricing details were disclosed.
