TELECOMWORLDWIRE-5 December 2008-SDL Tridion and VLC partner to build website for SCORE(C)1994-2008 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com

SDL Tridion, a provider of web content management (WCM), and VLC, a consultancy firm specialising in content management solutions, announced on Thursday (4 December) that they have built a website for SCORE, a foundation focusing on the promotion and facilitation of sports activities and the use of sport as a development instrument in poor communities in Southern Africa.

According to the company, the website is built on the web content management system from SDL Tridion. To implement a website that meets the objectives of SCORE, a team of two consultants from VLC travelled to South Africa to discuss the requirements.

The success of SCORE in target communities depends on the support of donors to fund activities and on volunteer coaches and trainers. Sharing needs, success stories and recruiting volunteers for the international team based in Southern Africa and The Netherlands are major goals of the new website.

Both companies have provided their consultancy and software free of charge. The new website is scheduled to be launched mid-December 2008.
