Webroot expands Channel Edge Partner Program

Webroot Software Inc, a provider of security software, unveiled on Wednesday (13 February) the global expansion of its Channel Edge Partner Program.

According to the company, the expansion includes the integration of its Webroot AntiSpyware Corporate Edition with AntiVirus software and its new Software as a Service (SaaS) security solution Webroot E-Mail Security SaaS, as well as providing a number of new services including web filtering, e-mail archiving, business continuity and personal encryption for partners.

The expansion of the program to include the SaaS security offerings follows the recent launch of Webroot E-mail Security SaaS and Webroot's merger with Email Systems, a provider of SaaS for e-mail and web, the company said.

Under the new program, resellers will be able to achieve one of three accreditation levels - Associate, Authorised and Premium- based on individual business needs as well as the number of trained sales and technical staff.

Partners who take advantage of the program will reportedly receive the following: access to a partner discount program; participation in lead generation/allocation; business development assistance; access to Not For Resale licenses and special pricing for in-house SaaS security services; access to an interactive partner portal; ability for partners to offer their own re-branded SaaS security services; free SaaS security training for all partner staff; certification opportunities.
