According to Huawei, it currently deploys more than 50% of Telkom's national network, which covers the areas of Jakarta, West Java, Center Java and Sumatera. Huawei's CDMA2000 solution incorporates the BTS (Base Transceiver Station) 3606C, which can be deployed in small equipment rooms, and the ODU (Optic Distributed Unit) 3601CE, which reportedly reduce the consumption of feeder line of indoor coverage.
Telkom confirmed that the CDMA2000 network will enable it to better serve customers in terms of quality and coverage, while Huawei claimed its solutions will support Telkom's requirements and help the operator achieve further cost savings.
