Texas Instruments (NYSE:TXN), a semiconductor and ASIC producer, has introduced the CC2591 RF range extender chip designed as a front end for low power and low voltage wireless systems.
The CC2591 can act as a high-performance front end for all 2.4GHz wireless systems and can integrate seamlessly with TI's current 2.4GHz transceivers, transmitters and ASIC products.
The 4mm x 4mm chip integrates a power amplifier, low-noise amplifier, balun, switches, inductors and RF-matching network. It is available now at prices starting from USD3.15 per unit in 1,000 unit quantities.
