Verizon Wireless has activated a new cell site to increase wireless voice and data coverage in State of Vermont in the US.

The new site increases network capacity in an area of Sprongfield along I-91 and is part of Verizon's continued investment in the area which has seen the company spend USD292m in 2007 alone.

Every Verizon Wireless cell in the New England region now offers broadband connectivity.

Verizon Wireless is a joint venture between Verizon Communications (NYSE: VZ) and Vodafone (NYSE: VOD) (LSE: VOD) and offers voice and data mobile services in the US.
