On 2 June, fring, a mobile internet community and service, announced the release of fringAdd-ons, new applications which enable fring users to talk, chat & interact with other people from their mobile phones.
According to fring, the fringAdd-ons include a handy mobile version of social networks, video streaming and email notification applications.

Social networks such as Facebook and to Google's social network Orkut can be connected to and Google Gmail notifier, alerts all incoming Gmail messages and VTap.
The fringAdd-ons are free of charge, fully integrated into fring and can be activated by fring users subscribing to their selected fringAdd-ons from the new "manage add-ons" menu (Options>Settings>Manage Add-ons). The fringAdd-on applications then appear as icons in the contact list.
