Telecomworldwire, July 3, 2008

TELECOMWORLDWIRE-3 July 2008-IIJ to add Fixed IP feature to its Mobile Access Service(C)1994-2008 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD http://www.m2.com

Internet Initiative Japan Inc (IIJ) (Nasdaq:IIJI) (TSE1:3774), a Japanese ISP, announced on 3 July that it will provide an option for corporate customers to obtain fixed IP addresses for mobile devices connecting to IIJ's Mobile Access Service Type DS.

IIJ is a Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) and also supplies dynamically allocated IP addresses over either DoCoMo's FOMA network (Mobile Service Type D) or EMOBILE's network (Mobile Service Type E). The new Type DS service operates over the NTT DoCoMo network and also provides a fixed IP address for each access line.

The option will allow corporate customers the ability to establish a mobile corporate network for their mobile workers, facilitating deployment of secure VPN networks.

Set-up fees for the option are JPY18,000, with a monthly charge of JPY18,000.
