CACI International Inc (NYSE: CAI) announced on 3 July that it has been awarded a three year contract under the US Army's Strategic Services Sourcing (S3) contract vehicle to support the US Army Project Director, Signals Warfare (PD SW).

The contract, worth USD23m, is for one base year with two one-year options. CACI has core strengths in command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C4ISR). The contract enables CACI to continue its relationship with PD SW.

The PD SW provides products that include lightweight tactical signals intelligence and electronic warfare systems specifically designed to support Army troops during battlefield engagements. The organisation also produces systems that enable the US military to counter the threat of radio-controlled improvised explosive devices (IEDs), using technology to defeat the link between IEDs and devices used to trigger them.

CACI will continue to supply services including acquisition, logistics, training, engineering, quick reaction capabilities, and testing support to the PD SW, and assists the PD SW to develop responses to meet the evolving IED threat.
