A new range of Smart Terminals is now available from Trident, a company that is part of the Abacus Group. The terminals are encased in antibacterial plastics and are intended for use in hospital wards, catering, industrial and other environments where high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are imperative.

JAOtech Smart Terminals meet the medical UL60601 standard and the plastics used are impregnated with a Novaron silver-based antimicrobial agent that has been approved by the US Federal Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the US Environmental Protection Agency. The terminals have been tested for exposure to popular cleaning chemicals such as alcohol or methylene chloride.

The one-piece units are sealed to IP65 at the front and IP54 at the back and contain all the electronics and a touch screen in a single casing. 15", 15.4" and 17" versions can be supplied in a number of colours and plastics and can be customised with a client's branding. Optional peripherals are also available.
