Norwegian Internet browsers developer Opera Software ASA (OSE: OPERA) said on Wednesday (9 July) that it has extended and expanded its contract with an unnamed OEM manufacturer.

Under the new agreement the manufacturer will pre-install a fully Opera-branded version of the Opera Mini browser on a wide range of mass market mobile phones. The branding means that Opera Software will control the home screen of the browser, allowing the company to generate revenues from search and advertising.

Opera Software will also receive fees for development, and support and maintenance.

Opera Software, headquartered in Oslo, Norway, develops the cross-platform Opera web browser for PCs, mobile phones and other networked devices.
