Mediasurface (UK AIM:MSR), a content management solution provider, announced on 17 June the re-launch of the Staffordshire Police website, http://www.staffordshire.police.uk, using Mediasurface's content management software, Morello, to provide the Staffordshire Police with a site that can be personalised to offer the public an accessible, tailor-made information service.

By clicking on a 'remember-me' box, a member of the public can configure the site to deliver pages providing specific news, events and officer information for their neighbourhood. In addition, the Police can use podcasts and vodcasts, delivered via the site, to communicate with the public.
The site is fully AA compliant and allows equal access to the information by users with hearing, visual and physical disabilities. Staffordshire Police intend to use a 'unified messaging' solution to turn text messages into voicemail that can be access via police radios by officers out on the beat, offering the public faster access to their community police officers. The site will also be used to recruit applicants to the force.
