Sierra Wireless (NASDAQ: SWIR) (TSX: SW) announced on 17 June the addition of two new products to its range of embedded modules.
The MC8790 and the MC8790V are HSPA modules aimed at OEMs producing notebook computers, fixed wireless terminals or portable handheld devices. The two models offer tri-band support, with the MC8790V adding voice calling capabilities.

Samples of the MC8790 are available now for testing, with shipping expected to begin in the second quarter. Samples of the MC8790V will be available late this year.
